Continuing on the growth path – WiMo takes over the Spanish ham radio webshop ‘hamradio.es’

WiMo Antennen und Elektronik GmbH (Herxheim, Germany) has taken over the webshop ‘hamradio.es’ run by Angro Comunicaciones SL (Brenes, Spain), thus continuing on the growth path in Europe. ANGRO's webshop ‘hamradio.es’ is successfully trading a wide range of ham radio equipment online since 2006. ANGRO is one of the largest ham radio merchants in Spain, also serving the Portuguese, French and Italian markets.

Volkmar Junge, Managing Director of WiMo: "The acquisition offers a great opportunity for WiMo to grow on the Iberian Peninsula, one of the largest ham radio markets in Europe. We are already successfully selling to Spain and Portugal, but this is going to take it to a new level. ‘hamradio.es‘ has a large customer base. WiMo has a large available stock and we can ship in-stock products within hours using our excellent logistic network partners. Together we can serve our Iberian customers much faster – despite the distance. Nothing will change for ANGRO customers. They can continue to order on ‘hamradio.es’."

The owners of ANGRO, Rodrigo Herrera, EA7JX and his XYL, Angeles, have already moved to Herxheim with their family as part of the recent EAntenna acquisition by WiMo. Rodrigo Herrera: “My wife Angeles and I are happy that ‘hamradio.es’ will continue to trade under the umbrella of WiMo. I am sure that our customers will be happy to enjoy the fast delivery and service as well as the enhanced product portfolio.”

Volkmar Junge: "Customers can continue to purchase via ‘hamradio.es’. The fact that we already have key personnel of ANGRO onboard is going to ensure that there will be no interruptions for customers. Rod and Angeles will be there to support their Spanish and Portuguese customers by phone, email and online media as before, in their language, together with the WiMo team. We are perfectly setup to flip the switch. To demonstrate what we are capable of, we will soon offer a special promotion to Spanish and Portuguese customers."
